Well i dont know about Luigi Sarg, but i bought Dalrymple in 1993 & added to it regularly over the next 6 years until they discovered the Thunderbox deposit in 1999.

Great price appreciation after that. BUT Dalymple then got taken over by a Lionore Mining scrip bid in 2003. Then essentially went lifeless for another 4 years. Until the nickel price hit $U.S 54,000 ton in 2007 & the crooks who ran Lionore convinced Xstrata to bid on it not long after. I say crooks because they had both Xstrata & Norilsk ( who entered the bidding war ) convinced it was a substantial company. Norilsk eventually won the day with a $6.8B bid. Then about a year after buying it realised it was essentially worthless.

I doubt those Lionore exec's are still alive. A Russian company is not going to forgive such a con job. Anyway so by the time that was over that was a 14 year investment on my part. But a 9000% + return. Those are rare beasts.
