To be fair, the situation with AEB was so obvious that anything remotely approaching a quarter of appropriate prepurchase research would tell prospective buyers all they needed to know to avoid this one. As a prospective buyer myself years ago I was abused and ridiculed here for expressing any doubts but it quickly became clear that they didn't actually have the multibillion dollar world-changing technology they claimed to have, and this was the easiest bullet I ever dodged.
