"Never seen in my days of trading ordinary shareholders changing anything and institutions will welcome this as it creates less risk and it's not their money so they have time- "
DRM bought the Deflector mine from a company called Mutiny , prior to that the MD of Mutiny was rolled due partly to actions of shareholders , so changes do happen due to shareholders , HC was used as a forum for that action , and from memory the ex MD or Board tried to take legal action against HC .
Yes Luke Tonkin is becoming a legend as a turnaround expert (ie at MGX) which does give me some confidence and SLR is "creating cash" be nice to see that flow into dividends,.
When Tonkin ran MGX he also was on the side of small shareholders and resigned because of feeling the company was being steam rolled by its major Chinese shareholders , he is no snow flake , maybe this merger is as much about a board shakeup , retention of LJ and Peter Alexander does seem to indicate SLR are getting the cream of DRMs board .
Shame LJ is not prepared to continue alone with DRM he has seemed to underestimate his ability ,
"WGX has had recent MOU in place for months on Andy Well with a lot of DRM -"
