btw: believe me, you are not alone. I've backed some companies that I thought were likely to succeed only to have them not too. Fortunately I only invest a relatively small portion of my portfolio in higher risk ventures, so have had these more that offset by better performing, lower-risk lower-potential stocks. I'm still learning every day.
