So, now they are saying that when they said previously that it was a "derisked" product with "proven potency and efficacy", what they were really meant was that they were unsure whether the product had any efficacy and potency and they undertook the trial to see if it had any efficacy and potency. In other words, when they said it was a "derisked" product, what they really meant was that it was "high risk" and when they said it had "proven potency and efficacy" what they really meant was it had no proven potency and efficacy and the company had no idea whether it worked or not. Shareholders who did not understand what they really meant were just plain stupid. "When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean- neither more nor less."
