I will send this to the company for comment but would ask HC to comment. Although the trial was technically a fail does the trial allow the product to be sold to market, ie it is safe for human use? I have always thought the idea of this product was to keep people in their homes while self medicating and healing, thereby freeing up very costly staff, beds, etc. Therefore the cost saving to the medical system would be enormous. Although it had no significant benefit over standard care, did it work as well as standard care? and what is the cost of standard care in a clinic (nurse, bandages, disposal, theatre, etc) against a tube of paste and bandage at home?
