"FEED report"

Front End Engineering Design.

About as dry as a medieval monk's manuscript. There is no excitement in there - just some broad brush stuff about pressure vessels, heating systems and motors. It certainly will not ignite the share market with tears of joy and result in mouth watering and vast uptake of shares and options. There will be some guestimates on costings (generally wide of the mark by a substantial amount) and some commentary about the design challenges to be met. It's not the sort of document to be released to the market; there will just be a summary of the salient points.

The comments at the AGM ("we can build it for less than $10M"), the conversations afterwards ("Andrew and his team have some design work to do") and the general discussion regarding it tell me they already know the outcomes it will produce.

I think the work Luc is doing is the stuff that will produce the excitement … let's see how his discussions with various organisations turn out. They're the things I'm looking forward to.
