it might be easy to say now.. the "writing was on the wall" but the analysis was spot on.
only extra bit I would/have looked at is the meaningful synergy that company had for a tier-2 CSP.
A- good technology. vote of trust (due diligence by channel partners indicated that).
B- mid to low end business execution (most management was more product dev oriented than sales) but were about to turn a corner
This is exactly the kind of M&A sought by high growth CSP like iiNET , TPG and alike.
They have large client base and if they can offer a good product that has high margin --> you have a winner.
Every micro cap Hosting/Cloud company with good product and poor marketing will be a likely candidate.. I would keep watching this space.
And at the end some luck is also key ingredient :)
