Given today's share price movement, I would expect the SSP to be heavily oversubscribed. In the past, I have missed out on SSP because it was on a "first in" basis, however I have also heard about SSP's where everyone's application was reduced down proportionally, which of course is a little more complex refunding everyone for their proportional reduction. Shouldn't be a problem if it's all processed electronically, but given that there are still people using cheques and even cash payment there is still a lot of manual work involved.
