In Australia, PPAs are typically include transfer of the associated LGCs (Large-Scale Generation Certificates).
Recent PPAs seem to be in the $60 to 80 range. Compare this with LGCs in the $70-90 per MWh range plus daytime power prices in the $50-90 per MWh range then you can see why the merchant route is attractive (at least in the short term while LGC prices are at current levels).
