I think thepylee is close to the mark regarding the allocation of shares on an "equitable" basis. Even though there may be 3000 shareholders as at 5 October, it would not be equitable to allocate 8,333 to each holder (25,000,000 divided by 3,000). More likely each holder will be allocated an equitable portion based on their individual holding e.g. a holder with 500,000 shares would get 10 times the allocation than a holder with 50,000 shares.

Just my opinion - could be way off the mark though.
