From the prospectus:
to be an eligible shareholder you need to be a registered holder on spp record date.

And from the registrar website:
"The date shown is the registration date, not the actual transaction date. The registration date is usually trade plus 3 business days. "

So to be an eligible for the spp you would need to have taken into account t+3 and have purchased on or before 30 September (if you live in act, new, sa and wild - due to Labor Day public holiday on the Monday) or 1 oct if ur from tas/nt/wa.
