I read a well respected industry report last night about EV and impact on metals such as cobalt Nickel etc and supply and demand. Very interesting and great read.
Nickel Sulphate is commanding up to 35% premium to nickel spot price which puts it at very close to AUD 22,000 a tonne. Given MCR previously reported one nickel mine needs 20,000 per tonne average price and the other 22,000 per tonne I would say that MCR mgt and with their Nickel West partner or BHP that is building the worlds biggest Nickel Sulphate plant in toe , are keen to prove up reserves further and enter into a long term offtake agreement before end of this year / early 2019 as even at current pricing it stacks up !
