re: Ann: Shallow High Grade Intercepts Contin...
trade2win,
This drilling program is going for ~20,000 metres.
From a November 2013 announcement:
The 2014 drilling program is planned to consist of approximately 20,000 metres of predominantly reverse circulation (‘RC’) and some diamond (‘DD’) drilling.
Papillon’s Managing Director and CEO, Mark Connelly, said: “Although already of significant size, the Fekola Project and broader Fekola Corridor still have exceptional growth potential. Our exploration focus this year will be on the numerous near surface, high grade, open pit opportunities which have been identified through initial exploration work. These opportunities have the potential to add high quality, low cost ounces to our Project immediately. In addition, the Fekola Deposit, which currently hosts 5.15 million ounces of gold in a single, large, open pit is still open at depth and has the potential to offer further extensions to mine life of the Project, including underground extensions, with deeper drilling programs in the future.”
They are looking for high grade, low depth resources to add the the DFS. Any highlight areas can then be drilled later to add to the resource size later.
The DFS is planned to start this month, so any good grades can be added to the current resource.
Hope that helps.
