i finally sold out my small $5k holding in pai on friday...

i finally sold out my small $5k holding in pai on friday morning.
i have instead invested 20k directly into the pai managed fund rather than this lic.
the reasons are as follows:
1) in the 3mo ths since i invested, the pai nta has risen over 7% from .94-1.01, but the sp has risen oy half that from .925 to 0.96 (and now down to 0.95 i see after selling); this is frustrating as an investor

2) the fact that the gap between sp and ntav could wuden is a risk, and i dont see the gao closing until after the option expires well into next year

3) the option will keep the sp depressed in the next 9mo until it expires

4) the pai lic hasnt gotten any good press to promote it since last year despute the fact that asia is much more attractive right now than aus, usa, europe to invest in

5) platinum is getting a lot of bad press which is probably keeping buyers away

finally the recent drop in daily fund prices on thursday will feed through into the next ntav and push it back down below 1.00

i suggest that ultimately pai will be a good vehicle for those who dont have enough funds to reach the 20k direct investment minimum, but only once the options expire.

its been a valuable learning experience in the pitfalls of lic investment which i didnt appreciate previously
