Absolutely. There was nowhere near the necessary level of disclosure re these UOL Paid "Users" and the marketing strategy. There was reference to "Aggressive" marketing campaigns but signing up inactive accounts?
I'm guessing UOL sent out an email to their email customers basically saying, "Hey, we are signing you up this this email backup service. If you don't want in, then click this button."
If you no longer use an email account then of course you arn't going to click on the opt out button are you?
Explains the huge uptake.
