Honestly though it's an overreaction. Surely these guys (Credit Suisse, Michael Slifirski & Deutsche Bank, Tim Hoff) know that there was going to be teething issues with taking over an operation. Yes there is currently an impairment in POGO production but this is accounted for and estimate suggests US$880/oz (A$1,189/oz) AISC. That's a 20.36% AISC improvement to the current A$1,493/oz. POGO by no means is a poison pill. NST is still on track per guidance.
Did anyone join the quarterly conference call? I'm still waiting for the transcript...I have a hunch that didn't go well judging by the market action.
