I don't genuinely think this company will make a profit for the next 10 years! If that is your sole metric to stay or go, then I'd be running for the exits mate! Most food tier 1's that launch a major brand are purely interested in share and establishing a market presence. Once achieved, then they place greater emphasis on marginal efficiency. If they can keep growing market share in the US, the product becomes a very serious proposition for acquisition.
Most of the major confect companies have been lazy to this point and have purely paid big dollars to have licenses (eg Minions/Toy Story this & that). They will all be watching with more than a little passing interest with the launch of toys, books etc - How does each concept influence the other. If this is a success, companies will unleash the cheque books to gain the necessary IP capability with their existing stable of brands.
Agree with 101 - buckle in, the next 6 months are a very exciting time.
