I'm not sure how viable it would be exporting Yowie's to Australia. They are retailing at Walmart at US$2.40 or whatever US so what would they have to retail at here to make it cost effective with currency conversion and shipping costs? I'm sure they would sell quite a few initially, with the novelty and nostalgia factor, but parents would get pretty tired of forking over $4 or whatever for each Yowie. I think they could probably manage exporting from the US to Europe and maybe to the Middle East but Australia and South East Asia strikes me as difficult.
Yowie has previously indicated that global expansion will involve licensing producers in other geographical areas, maybe that's the most feasible option for Australia. Finding a licensee they would be confident in working with would be much more difficult and it adds further complexity - do you sign up a licensee just for Australia or do you hold off and try and get an Asia-Pac licensee, etc.
