Your selective starting of the graph at January 2016 is due to what factor in January 2016?

Had you started in January 2014 when the SXY SP was 72 cents you would have a parabola and a completely different graph.

And would be showing a dramatic fall starting point of 72 cents to 46 cents as opposed to 14 cents to 46 cents.

Selection bias? Why pick January 2016 as opposed to January 2014? SXY at 14 cents instead of SXY at 72 cents?
