Well despite the share price dropping, I'm glad they announced the hole today. Much better that we know it missed and can act accordingly than to let the market keep trading on speculation and then dumping the results on market. I've owned shares in companies where results have been hidden and games played by management more worried about the share price than keeping the market informed - take a look at what EUC did in their first round of drilling, announcing just one core that showed mineralisation before dumping the assays on market during the Christmas period. Of course we can never know when they received results, so the Christmas announcement may well have been just bad luck, but when combined with the game of announcing one core pic and keeping the others hidden left me with no confidence in management, rightly or wrongly. Their share price chart would show that I am not alone in that feeling I believe.
In the end, the results will determine what the share price is at the end of this drilling campaign, fluctuations along the way are really of no consequence, except that it gives people a chance to exit or resize their positions according to the progress reports. An informed market is a fair market imo.
