Not  sure if you missed something.

The little map Page 2 from your link shows an 800 km transmission line route between the projects.  There isn't much mileage from $150m. Its about 12% of what is needed.

Must read these things carefully -

"The government will invest a further $100 million to help
fund a 50 megawatt hydro-electric power station at the (Burdekin Falls)
dam, subject to completion of the business case."

"The Queensland Government will commit $150 million to
develop strategic transmission infrastructure in North
and North-west Queensland to support a clean energy
hub, subject to a feasibility study."

The map from Powerlink shows the 185 km of 275 kV transmission line that is needed just for Genex and the $150m only pays for half of it.  Does that mean all the other renewable projects shown on Page 2 are out in the cold already?

Anyway, probably all stitched up long ago.
