- I didn't indicate that it was a great intercept, just that it certainly something to benchmark against and like SMD044 indicates that they are proximal to the intrusive root. The fact that it is open up dip without any obvious displacement means a wedge hole up dip should help them vector in on where the juicy stuff is beneath. The Structural Geology at Thursday's Gossan is a lot more complex and whilst I expect SMD045 to be a fair chance of success, I would not be surprised if they still need a few more holes to help fully appreciate the complexity and nail a potential discovery even with the assistance of a wedge hole.

- If you are expecting SMD044 to be a discovery hole with those sorts of grades I would expect that you will be sorely disappointed as the company have been quite clear that this is not the case and whilst it certainly is the best intercepts seen so far, it is only wall rock mineralisation with no evidence of potassic alteration and is certainly not the porphyry core that they are chasing. In saying that I would actually still expect copper grading above 1%, as for gold however we will have to wait for the assays. If like a previous poster has suggested, the system is Gold depleted then it is certainly time to pack up and go home.
