IMHO they do not have a high confidence of where to look next, as hole 44 has asked as many questions as it answered.
Next to those block diagrams was the following commentary........
"*Therefore with the NS Structure shallowing to the west at depth the porphyry had to be 'under' it, on the EAST side." (bold mine).
So just last week, with all they knew, they expected to hit the porphyry on the EAST side, but didn't!! They found nothing on the east side at depth. However they DID have a good find on the WEST side of the NSS, something totally unexpected!!
IMHO before they drill hole 45, there needs to be a NEW interpretation of what is happening underground. They are going to need all the assay results from the current hole to plug into their model for planning hole 45.
From what I can work out, the current model has the porphyry intact on the east side of the NSS but further south and deeper than they had previously looked. With the current find on the west side of the NSS, it raises the possibility that the NSS has split the porphyry with the part on the west, deeper on the west and south, while the other part on the EAST of the NSS is a lot further south. Or perhaps a different interpretation altogether, but definitely not what they were thinking last week.
