Today is probably the last day to buy these shares that enables you to claim the franking credit attaching to the dividend that will be paid on 13Oct as the 45 day rule will apply - all shares will be transferred to VCA on 23Oct so you will cease to own the share from that date.
I would expect the share price to fall back on Monday to around $1.27.
