You are already wrong as the share price slumped post offer ceasing. Gambling on it being higher in 12 months doesn’t make you right if it occurs - just as lotto is a bad bet, but the lottery winner doesn’t think so.
The share price factors in future cash flows and growing at the cost of capital. You are double-dipping on your future dividend comments.
And STO is hardly a unique risk/reward proposition.
