There will be a developing relationship between the 2 companies; I am pretty sure of that pedro. How far that goes remains to be seen.
Imo, these are the relevant factors as regards the exploration and mining of the bryah basin is concerned:
1. AUR holds a large percentage of the potential vms cu/au 'channels'.
2. SFR owns a (still) state-of-the-art copper processing mill at DeGrussa which maybe has a current life of another 4 to 5 years (likely to extend though imo with more copper to be found in underground mineral extensions), so SFR would want to ensure feed for many years to come.
3. In order keep DeGrussa working, and at the same time have the company keep making money, SFR will want more decent copper exploration ground in the Bryah. AUR can provide that.
4. The new Board, and some big holders, would have no qualms about dealing again with AUR. That said, what happens at Morcks Well East over the next few months could influence the future relationship. What if a potential major copper deposit is found? Will that slow SFR down? Maybe not! Judging by the podium actions of Karl Simich last Tuesday at the Gold Coast Conference though, I'd say that even with MW East possibly hitting the jackpot, SFR would still want to farm-in Cashmans to the west. That is generally 100% AUR. NST owns some of that area which AUR farmed-in some years back.
5. Michael Fotios (via the companies Investmet, Hades etc) owns over 18% of AUR, so he can't be ignored in any of this. He controls Horseshoe Metals which has plenty of copper at its Horseshoe lights site at the top of the western part of the Bryah. That fact cannot be ignored as regards future company relationships either. SFR takes over HOR?
6. WGX has a gold plant 25kms to the south west of H Lights. WGX owns 80% of the gold rights in nearby Forrest-Wodger-Big Billy where there is likely to be mainly copper, but there is gold there too. AUR owns 80% of F-W-BB. FEL owns 20%, including 20% of all minerals and is free-carried until a decision to mine is made. So, could we see SFR, WGX, AUR and FEL doing a deal one day? Possibly, but it would depend on what happens down south in Cashmans and Morcks Well and also whether or not AUR, by itself, can crack the Wodger code.
So, it's a bit of a pot pourri pedro. And I haven't even mentioned IGO which has for some years now been fiddling around with potential cu/au vms to the south west of the DeGrussa mine in a farm-in with Alchemy of which NST holds about 14%.
Anyway, let's first of all hope that SFR's expressed excitement over Morcks Well East is quickly vindicated.
