SFR is very keen on finding more copper feed. It has a greater incentive than IGO did.
I am quite surprised by how much money remains unspent ie $3.1m, and to keep things alive, that amount of money has to be spent by 28 October next year.
'Sandfire intends to combine its extensive local geological, geophysical and geochemical knowledge gained from exploring and mining of the DeGrussa ore body with the detailed surface electromagnetic work completed by IGO over the strike extensive highly prospective Narracoota / Karalundi Formation contact zone in order to define base metal targets within the farm-in tenements.'
SFR is not going in blind. IGO did some decent exploring, so SFR can piggy-back on that data.
So, SFR will be spending plenty of money ($3.1m) over the next 15 months if it wants to move to the next step. The change is great news!!
We might find out whether or not this area is more related to the host rocks of the vms cu/au at Horseshoe Lights (Narracoota Formation) or those at DeGrussa and Monty (Karalundi Formation).
