You’re being quite crazy harsh here I do think .
Think advances are beyond such a pessimistic tone . ( Of course journey been long . )
We have all felt it .
Mines committee will not have only met for the day .
Plus they’re not the Mines Ministry (the Mines and minerals committee- members come from all over the SI , including remote Islands - to meet at the end of each month. )
It is a big thing to get them together for these meets - and must now be many more applications to process and consider , as the SI opens more .
The mines committee- makes decisions -which then are sent to and advise the Minister of Mines . Not this Ministers only role either .
Laws dictate .
The Mines minister , and he is the minister for electrification as well (Tata Hydroelectric scheme being commenced . Economical power is an urgent goal for the government.)
*Mines minister - as of start of this week , ie. Monday —finally once more has a Personal Secretary back !
New PS - is also devoted only to Mining + Minerals and resources.
He is Highly qualified and regarded .
I think the Solomon Islands Government departments are not highly resourced is what I am saying .

@Rusty007 - I am fairly sure axiom have frequently referred to ‘due diligence having been done ‘ or being undertaken by interested parties? Only who can be suitable partners for future together with the company- most likely steadily evolved out of numerous enquires for nickel ore through the last year, and years past.

These men are highly experienced and I think it is very inspiring and a great indication of confidence in Axiom with a long future ahead for Isabel Nickel -
Also think is just very optimistic for the Solomon Islands as a country ! SI is emerging from lack of direction and leadership past.
Surely people so qualified and experienced- happy to join the entire team - to me have been happy to relocate to the SI . This is significant!?
For example- they have come from key roles within BHP , as well asother premier large established Mining companies
Anyway - this is what I think . Speaks well of all that occurring .
These are longterm permanent positions.

Personally I hope such transformative news - Axiom as a mining company - can gradually sink into the Market , even with current malaise .
At sometime - market may wake up to the very longterm potentials here for all involved .
