Lets see now ... selling at $41.5M (values at what multiple for production (oil volume 54,869 Sep Qtr ==> call it 600Bopd ==> $69K per bopd and then at 1P?) and record $10M profit? How so. OK take it a face value ... net paid $16M, on the books then at $31.5M (Sep Qtrly was $31.325M for Net PP&E) net gain $10M). Of that carrying value of $31.5M, bargain accounting was $10.8M so I guess SSN make net investments of $4.7M to the property?

Pay back bank - credit facility end Sep = $23.87M
Just remember investment bank (Parkman Whalan or something like that) provided working capital for Dec qtr so it would likely be higher.
For simple math call it $26.5M

Leaves ~$15M after repaying Loans

Internal Estimate is $12M after so another $3M in liabilities .... which after Credit Facility and Working Capital loan would be the Hedge Book.

47,214 BO swapped at $44.09 for Dec Qtr (probably a $1M here) + option collar for 10,524B
39,720 BO swapped at $45.55 for 2018 (probably $800K here)
the option collar should not be as expensive to close out, lets see how good their production was (maybe they get some upside participation but suffice to say the first 57,738 BO of the Qtr were hedged.
That's a dangerous hedgebook if you only produced 54,869 BO in the prior Qtr.
(I did it quickly so it may well be wrong).

As SSN state in their announcement, they are selling their entire asset base which will leave them with approximately $12 million in cash. I would expect the Board of Directors, based on their past performance, to put their hands out for a fair slice of the cash as they would think that they have done a great job in selling off the farm. There is probably also some obscure "performance" clause that they will dig up from their remuneration package.
