I sympathize with much of that (secretly I have a man crush on Gerry, but don't tell anyone). I love nothing more than a leader that doesn't pander to short-termist's or the-fad-of-the-day. But to be fair to RoE, this is no excuse for not treating ALL shareholders as partners-to-be-informed. I can understand his exasperation with simpleton shareholders, but if his desire was to run HVN as his play-thing, he should never have gone public.
