That is probably one of the most banal and ignorant things I have read in quite some time, but hey it is the PDY forum after all.
Share trading is business, NOT gambling as you seem to allude to.
The decision to "push the buy / sell button" as you put it is based on information presented to the market by well paid and well informed management, not a roll of the dice!
Yes you can blame others when others are misinforming.
Whether day trading or long term trading in any entity, any trader has the right to expect that his decision is based on the presentation of the facts and upon disclosures which comply with the applicable rules, not lies, fabrications, or misinformation.
Maybe we should abandon the disclosure rules altogether and just let management of companies say whatever, whenever and we can all trade at our own peril and just guess as to whats truth and whats BS. How would that work for you?
There are risks involved in trading, but trading on information released into the market which is not in strict compliance of the disclosure rules is not meant to be one of them!! Thats why there are rules.
