If you believe long term holding will yield worthwhile results compared to elsewhere.. and if you can quantify what "long term" means so that you can compare the expected yield...  So far we have seen a short term at least downward push on share price due to non positive company actions and sentiment of the sector (broadly speaking). Not long ago everyone was deliriously excited about short term high capital gains citing company management and fundamentals and industry wide sentiment as impossible to disappoint. Now that the share price has disappointed so many, we're to move the goal posts to and un defined "long term" period and repeat the same mantra of impossible to disappoint and adding "you have to have faith" to make it sound like it is the now nervous or sceptical holder's fault the price has performed the way it has..
