It may end up being 7 years, I'm not sure.
I agree with the advice needs to be affordable line but that was crossed a few years ago. Fofa and est interest duties etc etc has made compliance near impossible to be met 100%. The cost of seeing an adviser and getting good advice is now in the thousands of dollars due to onerous compliance, 40 page statements of advIce and potentIal litigation(ie get anything wrong and client sues you, get it right and they want fees reduced).
Having said all that the market has a short memory and once the RC is over and ASIC releases its actions I'm hoping IFL around these levels shouldn't be too much risk??
Nervously optimistic to buy somewhere down from here.
