The critical question is who gets the revenue for power sold to the grid from the battery (and the solar array when/if it is built), and who controls when the battery will bid to supply power to the grid. From reading the announcement it seems like that is CCE/EMC, so this could be a significant ongoing revenue source.
I've always thought that solar panels covering a significant portion of a roof in a hot climate should greatly reduce cooling requirements by shielding the roof from direct sunlight, so solar panels on a factory roof is a great idea I reckon!
