Good posts Agent. Completely agree with TXN's lack of promotion. For starters they don't even show an Eagleford Play Map detailing where they are in regards to the entire shale. They simply have a localized map showing their acreage blocks.

Take AUT on the other hand, who circle their opinion of the core area and really 'throw it in your face' at just how good their acreage is.

TXN's marketing department really needs an overhaul! Their presentations are bread and butter (which is good in some aspects), but bad in plenty of others.

Do you think that TXN's ET 1, 2 and 3 projects are targeting the same play (Cotton Valley Lime) as ET4?

I initially thought similar, however slide 22 of the EGM presentation kind of threw me off that trail, as ET4 is Jurassic Oil and ET 1,2,3 are Cretaceous Oil projects.

However, from this source (Oil and Gas Financial Journal):

"The Cotton Valley subsurface formation is a tight gas play in Northeast Texas and Northwest Louisiana located just above the Haynesville/Bossier Shale. It is Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous in origin and consists of sandstone, limestone, and shale . The depth of the Cotton Valley formation is roughly 7,800 to 10,000 feet. Although it is mainly a natural gas play, some oil has been produced in parts of the Cotton Valley.

Some of the more active producers in the Cotton Valley are Petrohawk Energy, Goodrich Petroleum, Exco Resources, Forest Oil, XTO Energy (now part of ExxonMobil), Questar, Penn Virginia, Cabot Oil & Gas, Devon Energy, and El Paso Corp.
    "

So it is definitely a possibility.

Since Sandridge drilled the Mississippi Lime (a previous 'oldschool vertical' play drilled in the 1900's) in Oklahoma/Kansas, there has been talk of horizontals being applied to other 'old vertical' Limestone oil/gas plays. TXN's Roundhouse prospect seems to be a perfect example of one of these Limestone plays being 'brought back to life' with horizontal drilling.
