Well that's not quite true Funda. While agents were originally annoyed by the price increases from REA and Domain in the end it's the landlords and vendors that pay the advertising. Higher advertising costs are easily justifiable when REA and Domain account for 95% of total enquiry received.
We charge our landlords $295 + GST to advertise their rentals across our website, REA, Domain, Realestateview, Property.com and Homely. And that's premium advertising on REA and Domain. Where is there room for RNT in all of this?
The agents that I've spoken with about RNT who use the free service are receiving only the odd enquiry. They've got not intention of paying for the service. Agents pay for enquiries - the only way that RNT can win this battle against REA and Domain is to pry users away from them and get them to submit enquiries. Then and only then you will get agents to pay for it.
