I have done a quick scan through what is yet another presentation. After all, the most promising prospect is Alacran but for now AZS is completely dependent on Teck for results and timeframes while AZS is on the market for a complete sale or else farm-in of Sara Alicia. However, what did take my eye was the timetable for development of Oposura.
PEA / Scoping Study: September 2018
PFS: aiming for mid-2019
Feasibility Study: aiming for Q4 2019
Production: aiming for Q4 2020
That means release of the scoping study is imminent. The other dates, if achieved, mean that Oposura is probably the first mine off the block. Nevertheless, at least 12 months to go before any commitment to starting a mine and so plenty of cash to burn through until then. However, with $6.5M in kitty as at 30/6/18, there should be enough to carry through the studies and necessary drilling (plus admin/management costs) to support these. Construction of a mine and processing facilities is another matter.
My summation is that there is no need to get too carried away with investing at present but be prepared to act if Teck deliver impressive results for Alacran, while there is plenty of time to track Oposura and pitch in over the next 12 months.
