All4One. Your points. Pigs and fish must eat too (and chooks) - obviously. But the amount they eat is not correlated with rainfall or the price of anything excepting some downgraded grain may be substituted for stockfeed - not a recent problem that I am aware of (eg sprung wheat for layers).

Rain, again - makes grass grow. Farmers like this. Apart from anything else it makes them feel good - tanks fill and streams flow - and the place looks good. And Banks are happy too. Stock is able to graze directly in the paddock and fodder can be cropped for dry feed or silage. They will still need special purpose feeds and nutritional supplements from us - the prices of which will be unaffected by the rain. Mostly, rain is good until it produces floods.
