Deconsructing the Novac prawn food additive. Apart from its terrestrial origin(and hats off in that regard).My question is ; In the finished product that's fed to the stock and before we take into allowance the %40 claimed growth advantage,; What's Ridley's projected price per tonne of the supplied prawn food.(any guesses out there?) or better still hard projections. Or beter still If Ridley were to match the current world fish meal price what would be their margin ?...
Anecdotadly... last week I'm eating 'Crystal bay prawns' (marked as them anyway) in sydney at $16/kg, good size schoolies. and very good eating. If everybody in the supply chian is making money on this and the prawns i was eating were bona fide C/Bay and novac fed, this product (novac) has got the 'legs' of the crustations I was eating.
Outwardly Ridley are not over selling this product line.
