re: Ann: Rhinomed to present at Microcap Inve... breathing capacity is not just about increasing the nasal or oral passage volume, its primarily determined by increasing the volume of the lungs during inhalation akin to having a large feeder hose but how big is the drum your feeding into. Much like we use little of our brain capacity....some more than others haha, few peole maximise their lung capacity to the extent that we use only a very small fraction of its capability. Its not just about slipping in a breathing device but also 'learning' how to maximise ones breath so to speak.
The buteyko technique is one such method to do this, prescribed for asthmatics to 'improve' their breathing.
