Once Eritrean govt realised, they would be p.. Off as they badly want it developed so income can flow in.
The alternative to the above it CHN could simply not get finance, and Eritrean govt for political reasons want to side with Eritrea.
Anyway you are probably right Eritrean govt realise Chinese are terrible geologists so they still want Chalice there. So that's a realief and something I had not thought of. Otherwise the Chinese would have also purchased the remaining tenament near Bisha.

Certainly the vast bulk of the $95 mil will be spent in non Eritrean project.

Chinese will be happy hearing the Chalice directors being in pain and the SP having fallen. It's a clear sign they got a great deal. Chalice directors need to show their intension to keep up exploration in their remaining tenament just to ensure they get the Shanghai deal through. And who knows maybe find gold and sell that project to the worlds greatest business people again.
