SCG may also renege on the deal and then offer a much lower price. Eritrean govt may also re-challenge the $34 million payable. They have CHN by the balls. So semi worst case senario is 15 cents. Worst case is Chalice has little cash and then needs to raise capital or be taken by other vultures. So its Seriously high risk. The final desperate stage would be for Kevin Rudd as Minister of Foreign Affairs to step in, but by then CHN would be the equivalent to being on death row.
If CHN get through and with $90 million in the bank - rejoice. CHN could be a white knight to another Aussie venture that's about to go under. But for now it's up to the directors to get this through. Fortunately Tim Goyder has his money riding on this, not just some salary director.
Note there were previous announcements that finance would not to a problem. They claimed financiers were coming to them. Bollicks and potentially a misleading statement that I know I took considerable comfort in that recent announcement.
