The CIL plant simply does not have the capacity to treat all the ore when the mine is producing gold and silver alone, so some is exported as concentrate.
One thing that concerns me is the low recovery, albeit better than in the past. Even 75% recovery is pathetic. With 8 grams to the tonne ore, the tails will be about equal to the grade of the ore from Pearse North. Go figure!
