Was at work (5 min from home) when i found out the result.  I was honest, drove home to let me wife know.......

As you could expect, not happy and tears prevailed. Our hard earned after tax dollars down the tubes. 

It was a difficult conversation to have but one that I couldn't hide from my wife. The guilt and shame would have eventually torn me up and create unnecessary anxiety. I pulled the band aid off.

While I am still churning inside, at least I have that off my chest.

Guess this is all part of the learning process....
