Ok, the margin is 27.8%, that's also the exact same figure I got from COSTCO head office regarding their new Auburn store. The managing director of Costco happily and readily open the books and told me their actual and projected profit margin for their entire Australian operations as well.

They also mentioned that Carbon tax will have minor effect of their profits, but it's not something thay haven't put into consideration.

I was surprised that they actually gave me those economic numbers as not many of us would like to tell people how much money we earn for salaries so the tax man or ex-spouse might come knocking on my door looking for compensation or child support.
