I am not sure? Bowen was only meant to be 'the stand in guy'. Clearly there is some shareholder weight that is not okay with this being extended.
I suspect it has to do with the European JV fail, which lead to the 'resignation of Chairman Rob Ferguson, has retired with immediate effect after 10 years in the role. Michael Bowen has been appointed interim Chairman pending the appointment of a permanent replacement.' circa 6/2015
There is some schism about Europe, I think, as I believe Ferguson has gone there? I am NOT SURE?
