From my understanding, most companies tend not to be too specific in case they give away their plans to their competitors or customers. so businesses often say publicly, "we plan to do this - but privately, keep the specifics under wraps". This is normal business practice.
IRI has a good product, and it's current customer base indicates that the product has momentum.
