Well only management know the terms but its safe to say if the us and australian governments have to borrow at circa 3% then dmp interest rate will b3 significantly higher....also when a companion buys back its shares it doesnt get to keep them.....they get purged and the company just has less shares.
A share buy back only makes sense to shareholders if the shares are trading below their intrinsic value.......this calculation is never a clear thing . Personally i believe dmp intrinsic value is significantly below the current price but i am sure others have an intrinsic value higher than current prices. .......time will tell who is right but reminds me of when charlie munger was asked why he was a better investor than others and he replied my guess are better than others.......he was referring to guesses about the future performance of the business
