I don't think anyone is bs-ing anyone. I think you are making a fuss over nothing. The size of the trade is inconsequential, the change in holding is less than a 1% deviation in the holding and inconsequential, and there was nothing of consequence in the Quarterly anyway. If you want to complain about something, find something of substance.

In any event, I am quite intrigued by your suggestion that you can magically pinpoint the trade, and that someone came ahead of you: how do you even know if the date refers to the date of the trade, or the date it was registered (usually 2 days later): the form is ambiguous as to which date to specify, so how would you know?

So your gripe is that you wanted a small parcel of shares, you had a partially filled order, and someone else got them. You fail to explain how that someone got ahead of you. Oh - Calamity Jane!! Oh great evil - oh monstrous thought. Call the electricity department (a la Monty Pyhton). Call Dame Edna! Call Malcolm!

May I ask: which broker do you trade with? I suppose you know that some brokers place their orders with both ASX and Chi: others only place their orders with ASX. Depending on who you are with, you can find situations where BIDS and SELLS are both placed at say 1.6c, but the offers don't match because they are on competing systems with non-compatible brokers. So, if someone places shares for sale on CHI at 1.5c, and your broker does not deal on Chi, you may not get that parcel, and somebody else will, if their broker deals on both ASX and Chi. That is a much more likely explanation as to why your part order did not fill.
